We started a blog because we hate social media, and we started FIXER OPTIONAL because we hate the publishing industry, yet have a burning desire to share our stories with the world. Yeah, I know, this is advertising. Sorry.

Abi Vasquez is the vocalist for the extreme metal band Underdark, she is also an author of near-future speculative fiction with a taste for jarring, violent narratives that hold a satirical mirror up to contemporary society.
Her debut novel SCRAPERS is the first of a series called ABANDONWARE, which also includes the short stories VIRTUA POP and NIL’S SHROUD.
Jed is a lesser cryptid of the web, seen writing interviews for obscure music blogs, mountaineering gear guides for backpack collectors’ forums, or riddles in the comments of cult webcomics.
